ABOUT MARA
Mara is a comfortable, modern top that offers two different sleeve variations. Sleeve A is a contemporary interpretation of the romantic puff sleeve, but where the fabric is not classically adhered to, but gets its volume in the shoulder through sophisticated pleating. Sleeve B shows its edgy side with a boxy silhouette and an emphasis on the shoulders. The design sits close to the body without being too tight. In the upper part of the arm, an slight extra width is intended due to the design. The neckline on Mara is kept moderate and can either be sewn with a narrow cuff in the same fabric as the top, or with a wider rib cuff for a more casual look. Both sleeves and hem have the option of being made with a rib cuff as well, or classically with a folded hem. Adding a cuff will add to the 3/4 length of the sleeve. Instructions for serging the neck cuffs with a neck tape bind are included in the pattern instructions. The seam allowance of 0.7 cm for the seam with the overlock or a wide zigzag stitch on the sewing machine is included in all pattern pieces.

TALKING FABRICS
Mara is designed for stretchy fabrics like jersey, punto, terry or sweat. The stretch should be clearly visible. For thicker fabrics like Terry or Sweat, it is recommended to sew one size larger. Fabrics should always be pre-washed to avoid shrinkage later. 
If you like to work with rib cuffs, you should pay attention to good quality and shape retention.
